I bought my Navman ICN 510 in 2005. 3 months ago, I decided to update the maps, because even in 2005, the maps were old.
I bought the software Navman Australia, because I could not find here in the United States.
After 3 months of constant calls and email to Navman I can not update the software again! Unbeliavable!
In the meantime, I bought a Garmin 250. I do not buy in 2005 because I knew that Garmin is the best brand. I can tell, my Garmin GPS is easier to use, comes with all the cards from the United States and Canada and has a better interface. Just plug and use!
If you're wondering whether you should buy a GPS, Navman not buy it, you can buy a Garmin GPS. Http: / / www.amazon.com / Garmin-n% C3% BCvi-3-5-Inch-Portable-Navigator/dp/B000NW0Y9W/ref = pd_bbs_sr_1? ie = UTF8 & s = electronics & qid = 1204621036 & sr = 8-1

I had one of these just over 2 years. Slow start, the risk of a crash, maps obsolete, while new ones. Reset latches and requires more frequent and the beginning of the path coordinates. Buttons difficult to use the multifunction button is extremely sensitive and difficult to control. Many better choices in the market.
bad bad bad – Ashley –
I have had this for about a year and I am pretty tired that I plan to buy a new camera. Some of the problems I had:
-Completely useless for any kind of road trip, perhaps more than 100 miles. He sends you a sense, recalculate, and then change your mind tells you to go back to where you came from, still recalculates and tells you to go the first way again.
Waste-absolutely all toll roads, although not "avoid toll roads" selected.
Plans u-turn (notremedies, but really want) in inconvenient places, such as major highways. Even if they are not sharing, it will not happen.
"From time to time you will be on the road that tells you to do, and it will display a message that says" can not reach their destination. He refused to recalculate to pull it and reset it manually, as well.
-Completely useless, in downtown Boston. Understandable, but very boring.
Sometimes refuse to moveface. One point of destination indicated on the map, there is an easy to access, but he decided to go to another place, however, usually one or two blocks.
-Need postal code. The interface is terrible, you can insert a space, and will display a list of 5 options, all with the same name. If you choose evil, will not recognize your address. If you type the zip code, usually works.

I just had this unit for two years and thinks its pretty darn good for its size and money. He asked me to Yellowstone Park to the airport without problems in Bozeman. He asked my friend returned from a camping trip without problems .. This is a neat little device that works very well .. I love her very much and im glad I bought it. I rarely use, but its good to know that I have and it works.
