Works great but not so beautiful and simple as a GPS like a tomtom.

Nice product from Microsoft, but it is not intuitive. The icons are not intelligent to identify the processes that play when you click. Map updates are not available, updates are available for construction only. We hope that the Pocket PC version of the program have a strong research capability as the PC version. It makes no sense to speak, that the 2006 and 2007. Use the product as a reference, nothing more.

I purchased this unit in autumn 2005 and were widely used until now. I use it on a Thinkpad 240 subnotebook (old, old equipment. Acquired in 2000) and although the laptop only has a speed of 200 MHz, the software works very well when the camera is connected to the power of the car.
I used this software on several trips including a trip of 2,400 miles of cross country skiing along the Tour and the South-West (about 2000 km.)
First, the benefits:
1. And 'cheap. If you have an old laptop sitting aroundthen you can have a big-screen GPS for only $ 80 (price I paid.)
2. Done a good job of planning your trip. He can arrange a trip with multiple destinations, and so routing is enabled (though at the time I took a fire road faded Valley NP When They set I indicated I wanted the shorter "way back home. I later learned that You can set preferences for the alternative route, so not really his fault).
3. Screenshots signal quickly, usually less than a minute.

Well, sorry:
1. You really need a first officer for this work unit. Only with this unit driving is downright dangerous. There is no voice guidance and auto-zoom-in when the car needs to get off the highway or a ride. This is essentially a 2-D map with a small icon – the machine – moving on it. Oh, and there are auto routing.
2. POI (points of interest) is just enough. POI is not updated by the Member States (unlikethe construction of information, are updated), but then information on metropolitan areas is still usable. However, during a trip through the Navajo reservation in Arizona, the program did not show a single gas station for more than 100 miles. Needless to say there are many stations between Flagstaff and Kayenta.
3. At least in my case, this GPS is delayed according to the current position display. Not biggie if you are driving slowly, but otherwise, you are required to overcome this crucialturn.
4. The position stated by the GPS (off) is out of 50-10 feet depending on where you are. Sometimes it's accurate, sometimes not, then I suspect that might be the card rather than the calibration accuracy of GPS. But the accuracy is also affected by geography: if you ride in a skyscraper downtown with many GPS ceases to be accurate and begins to spin in a circle. This happened to me in downtown Chicago.
Overall, the book has many flaws. ButSometimes you just have the card can help a lot, and if you travel with a passenger, he or she can correct many defects. This price is a good value if you have an old laptop around the powder.

The only complaint I have is that the GPS does not always work. I installed the software on multiple computers and computers already installed. But on every computer I tried, office portable GPS device would act funny and work only after about 5 minutes to play with her. Then when we went on our road trip to California, I hooked up my laptop and it worked only about 30% of the time. I do not know what happened, maybe just a defective unit, but caused somefrustration. software is excellent and accurate, however. I use Streets & Trips from about 2002 and have always been happy with the way they update their software.
